Selenium Colloid

Nearly everyone to this day is deficient in Selenium. It helps to maintain good health which may assist in the prevention of certain malfunctions of the human body.

The following information applies only to Fulhealth’s Selenium Colloid; we cannot confirm you will receive results from other products.

On a world scale in reference to the availability of minerals, Australian soils are widely regarded as being selenium deficient. Plants take up metallic minerals from the soil, converting these minerals into colloidal mineral complexes. When we eat our food, we receive our minerals in colloidal form; our body recognizes colloids as the most absorbable form of minerals. This is the grand plan but of course it is not happening. Today, resulting from mass farming theses is minimal selenium in the soil.

In order for minerals to be in the food, the minerals must at least be present in the soil. Selenium is regarded as one of the most common and most required elements that the body needs to function optimally. Most people are deficient in selenium.

THE SCIENCE

Through the gastrointestinal tract selenium is absorbed then distributed throughout the body to the cells for proper cell division, building a better immune system and helping to bring the body back to a normal state of health.

Cells in our body are protected by a ‘security patrol’ of lymphocytes. They keep our cells under control, preventing them from migrating to a different location in the body. This ‘security patrol’ needs mostly selenium as well as some other vitamins and minerals. If a cell migrates from its set location in the body to a different place them that cell has to mutate and change to fit its new environment – which is the very first step towards cancer.

Almost every disease produces free radicals in the body. Free radicals are molecules will eventually steel electrons from other molecules that do have evenly paired electrons in order to pair its lone electron. This is where selenium comes in. The body has a group of selenium bearing enzymes called glutathione peroxidase. It is called this because it transfers the electron to a sulphur containing protein called glutathione. The selenium, which acts as the reactive centre in the enzyme, does this.

So selenium is required for the synthesis of the glutathione enzyme. Now after that whole reaction has taken place, the free radical is now harmless and furthermore will stop the reaction of free radical creation.
